AWT 2013 Summer Experiment Kickoff

Today marks the beginning of the 2013 Summer Experiment.  We expect to have over 70 internal and external participants from government, academia, and private industry.

We will be evaluating many experimental data sets and tools and issuing experimental products that are variations of the current products issued by the Aviation Weather Center.  We will have 5 experimental forecast desks at this year's experiment:

• Experimental National Aviation Metorologist (NAM)
• Experimental Situational Awareness (SitAware)
• Experimental Collaborative Convective Forecast Product (CCFP)
• Experimental Convective SIGMET (C-SIG)
• Experimental Global Convective (GG)
